Our hotel is in an excellent location opposite the old town of Stade, directly on the moat. This means that most of the city’s attractions are within easy walking distance, such as the Old Town Hall, St. Cosmae and Damiani Church and the Stadeum. The location on the moat also offers a beautiful view of the historic buildings along the moat and the Schwinge, Stade’s distinctive waterway. It is also an ideal starting point for walks along the Elbe and through the old town.
Stade is a historic town in the north of Germany, known for its rich history as well as its natural beauty. The old town of Stade is full of medieval half-timbered houses and narrow streets that invite you to take a walk. One of the most famous sights is the Old Town Hall from the 16th century, built in the Renaissance style, which now houses a museum. Another highlight is the St. Cosmae and Damiani Church, a 14th century Gothic church with impressive murals and a magnificent altar. For those interested in history, the Stadeum is also worth a visit, a cultural center with theater, concert hall and exhibitions.
Our hotel is easy to reach both by car and by train. Stade train station is about two minutes away on foot. Free parking is available directly in front of the hotel.
If you want to travel by plane, it is recommended to fly to Hamburg and from there take the S-Bahn to Stade. The train departs directly from Hamburg Airport and takes you to Hamburg city center.
